Do you find that you’re makeup slides off by midday? Does your t-zone get super shiny throughout the day? Or do you find when you get home and take off your makeup, that there are only patches left on certain areas of your face? This may be due to the type of foundation that you are wearing. There are so many different foundation types that work well with different skin types, but a lot of people are unaware of which one suits their skin the best. Never fear, I’m here to help!

Youngblood has one of the largest ranges of foundations to suit all the different skin types. Whether you are oily, dry or combination, they have a foundation to suit.

One of the major problems people have with their foundation is that they use too much of the wrong product! This can result in a cakey and uneven look.

Youngblood’s Liquid Foundations are great for pretty much ALL skin types, but really great for dry or dehydrated skins. They are super light weight, can be applied with a brush or a sponge and are buildable to create either a minimal look or a high coverage look without it feeling heavy or cakey.

This particular Foundation is great for people with a combination or oily skin type as it goes on smoothly like a cream and sets like a powder. Its also good for anyone that likes how a cream or liquid applies to the skin but wants more of a matte finish.

This powder is also great for all skin types, and is one of their most popular. It gives a semi matte finish and is buildable. It can be used over the top of a liquid foundation to give a higher coverage too.

The pressed powder is ideal for those who don’t like the ‘mess’ of a loose, or want to carry it in their handbag and use throughout the day for touch-ups. It gives off more of a matte finish and is great for skin types who are oily or combination.

There are also different types of setting powders that can be used over the top of your foundation. Less is more is the key with these products! Youngblood’s High Definition Setting Powder is great for people with normal to dry skins, as it does not dry out the skin, but rather hydrates and creates a ‘photoshop’ finish, as well as keeping your foundation in place all day.

Youngblood’s Mineral Rice Setting Powder is ideal for people with an oilier skin type. The rice helps to absorb excess oil and eliminate that shine that can creep out during the day. It comes in a loose and pressed form, catering to those who like a loose or prefer the less messy pressed option.

When applying ANY Foundation or setting powders, it is important to start slowly and build up to your desired coverage. If you start off with too much, it can become uneven in areas or too heavy too quickly. It’s much easier and much more effective to use a small amount and slowly buff it into the skin, building layer upon layer until you have enough coverage. This way you can also do a light layer on the whole face, and add to any areas where there is underlying pigmentation, redness or congestion. Being a mineral makeup, Youngblood allows for this seamlessly, as well as not blocking any pores and allowing the skin to breathe no matter how many layers you apply!
